Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a fantastic, local, family owned business with their search for an Accountant. This position will be considered as the number 2 in the department, with the view to take over the department with time. This is an excellent chance for someone to make a real impact on the department. You will be empowered to make changes, improve processes and streamline procedures where necessary. The business is due to go through a system upgrade to which you will be largely involved in.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Managing the purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book
• Update and maintain the company's fixed asset register & Intercompany accounts
• Management of timely billing of company sales
• Cash flow forecasting
• Processing company credit cards and staff expenses
• Assisting with the preparation of annual audit
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Ad hoc accounts analysis
