About the role

Lookers Southern Accounts Centre are seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their busy team.

Role and Key Responsibilities:

* Provide financial support to all areas of the business including operational, financial and divisional management as and when required
* Support the dealership and market area accountant with the production of accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with group policies and procedures which are to be submitted in accordance with group reporting deadlines
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group and divisional reporting requirements and deadlines
* Analysis and interpretation of dealership key performance indicators.
* Liaise and support market area accountant with running and control of central accounts teams
* Custodian of dealerships assets and ensure compliance with Group Authority Matrix
* Internal Audit compliance
* Additional responsibilities as and when required in accordance with needs of business

What we're looking for:

* It is essential that you have Kerridge/ADP experience
* Prior experience within a dealership or wider franchise is essential
* You should be comfortable working under pressure to hit deadlines and be able to organise your work load accordingly
* Excellent IT skills, particularly advance Excel skills
* Demonstrable experience with all aspects of the finance function
* Ability to work under high pressure with accuracy
* Excellent communication skills
