This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading Home Improvements Company as a Window & Door Surveyor, working in the field with great earning potential, along with a company car and additional benefits.
Reporting to the Senior Installation Manager, your role as a Window & Door Surveyor will be to qualify all contract details with our customers, ensuring that all products listed on the contract are measured correctly for manufacturing purposes and providing detailed drawings where required.
The purpose of the job is to:

Provide a detailed costing, collation and presentation of tenders and quotations pertaining to PVCu windows, doors and associated items..
*
The costing and processing of enquires and tenders from receipt to completion.
JOB CONTENT
Key Tasks:
*
The detailed and accurate costing of the products, materials and services required to undertake the work in the most effective way.
*
The presentation of quotations and tenders, including the detailed completion of documents.
*
Negotiating with sub contractors and suppliers for the best price and service that can be obtained.
*
Identification of opportunities for maximising company profitability.
*
The accurate completion and presentation of tender documentation.
*
The use and input of information onto the Companies computerised estimating system.
*
To work closely with the operational teams, ensuring all aspects of the bid are considered and appropriate allowances have been made.
*
Taking into account all aspects of window design to ensure our offer meets with the Clients requirements and statutory rules and regulations.
*
Ensure any required information is requested in time to allow the bid to be completed and dispatched in time to meet return dates.
*
Compile the bid into a handover document before passing onto the operations team.
*
Building strong working relationships with customers
*
Building relationships with clients to enhance the company profile.
*
Keep the Estimating Manager fully informed on progress and any issues that may completion on time.
Knowledge & Skill Levels
*
Knowledge of both the PVCu window industry and its products
*
An understanding of building techniques and terminology.
*
Commercially aware with a keen and sharp mentality, with the ability to always push for the best deal.
*
Strong planning and organisational skills
*
Highly computer literate
*
Self motivated
*
Ability to work as part of a motivated team
*
Effective communicator, both spoken and written
*
A very good telephone manner
*
Able to work on own initiative, prioritising work load to ensure deadlines are met.
*
Ability to communicate at all levels, gaining the trust of all
*
Ability to plan and control in a methodical manner
