PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Leadership Organise work schedules and training to ensure that objectives are achieved in the most effective manner and to support a framework which allows for continual development. Definition of work standards agreeing targets and objectives in line with company strategy and evaluation of achievement of those targets. Development Provide input to Strategic direction of technical support in the company. Be up-to-date with current developments in the industry. Regulatory Manage all works within the group to ensure regulatory compliance. Manage all works within the group to ensure that they are in line with Schwarz Pharma policies. Manage group policies and procedures and ensure that they are kept up to date.Manage all works within the group to ensure that they comply with the Requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare (General Regulations) at work 2005 and subsequent amendments. Communication Communicate with the appropriate personnel to ensure that proper support is given to operations in an efficient and effective manner. Promote open communicate between personnel.· Manage staff in group to ensure that an open dialogue is maintained with other departments.· Budgets Manage group budgets to ensure that they remain within targets. Propose cost savings to reduce budge Environmental Issues Manage the Waste Water Treatment Facility to ensure that it is available for waste from production at all times and that the arising affluent is compliant with license requirements. Ensure that the Environmental Management plan is carried out in a timely, co-ordinated and cost effective manner. Ensure that all reports to the EPA and other statutory bodies are submitted according to stipulated timelines. Ensure that Air Emissions from the site are monitored and comply with EPA regulations. Ensure that the waste management plan is reviewed and maintained and that the company has an achievable waste minimisation goal. Safety Issues Manage the Safety systems on site. Ensure that all processes and operations are adequately assessed against all risks and legal obligations. Ensure that all reports to the HSA and other statutory bodies are submitted according to stipulated timelines. Manage and develop the Occupational safety system on site including Firs Aid. Maintain the ERT and emergency plan. ISO14001 2015 Manage the implementation of ISO14001. EPA, HSA and Statutory Bodies Develop a strong working relationship with the EPA, HSA and other statutory bodies to ensure that there is a clear understanding between us. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: QUALIFICATION : Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science/Microbiology/Chemistry/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering.   KNOWLEDGE : Environmental Regulations Chemical and pharmaceutical process technology and related disciplines. Process Safety Quality systems. Safety regulations. Contract negotiations.
