Responsibility for the payments and receipts processes. Assistance with month end procedures, and related expenditure, together with general accounting administrative duties.


Responsibilities>

  • Post supplier invoices onto ITAS and ensure authorisation in line with compliance mandates.
  • Raise payment instructions for approved supplier invoices in the online banking system.
  • Allocate commercial and supplier payments in ITAS.
  • Post and allocate cash receipts from customers in ITAS.
  • Weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Fixed asset register and fixed asset verification twice a year.
  • Assist with month end procedures (eg. reconcile intercompany balances, raise accruals and prepayments, inventory reporting).
  • Update Group reporting system (TORES) for month end.
  • Perform monthly and working capital analysis, including variance against Budget
  • Deal with supplier queries on costs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support for other members of the Risk & Finance department when required (for example holiday cover).
  • Produce reports and respond to queries from the department.
  • Prepare audit and tax schedules when required.


Knowledge and Experience

  • ACCA or CIMA part-qualified accountant.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with particular focus on excel spreadsheets.
  • Proven track record of working in an Accounts function, within Commodity Trading
  • Sound understanding of Accounting Principles.
