The Role:-
This is an excellent opportunity for a naturally numerate & analytical thinker to join our Premier Inn Finance team. This role is research & reporting driven and will allow you to develop your ability to support our forecasting activity to cover the analysis of our budgeting and sales forecasting sales; alongside the reporting on our marketing costs and non-expansionary capital costs.
What you will be doing:-
- With an innate attention to detail and sound understanding of Excel, we will look to you to prepare financial models that will aid our budgeting and forecasting, supporting your Marketing stakeholders with relevant and robust insight
- As a confident analyst, your responsibilities will include a mixture of weekly and monthly reports alongside ad-hoc analysis and reporting improvement
- We will support you to develop excellent partnering skills in order for you to nurture strong working relationships with the General Ledger and Financial Planning teams in order maintain financial control and submit established reporting for each period.
- Highly organised, you'll handle the administration associated with loading budgets and our investment approval process - these transactional tasks will provide an unrivalled opportunity for you to become involved in our investment appraisals and develop your understanding of our complex business

- Advanced Excel is a must for this role as you will need to have experience of the following tools
- Modelling, formulas and Index-match
- Sumifs, pivots and structuring models (inputs, check sums etc)
- A foundation in Accounting would be beneficial - whether from work experience or education - to support your understanding of MI reporting, our Purchase Order process and associated accrual accounting
- As a confident communicator and a proven problem solver you are looking for a role that will push your reporting skills and allow you to both improve processes and share meaningful insight
- You know you are a positive people-person and will thrive in a business partnering role that will see you working effectively across different teams with a diverse set of requirements and approaches; building relationships with Marketing, Site Refurbishment, General Ledger and Financial Planning.
