The role is Accounts Assistant within a rapidly expanding company where you will be proactively involved in all sales ledger and purchase ledger activities. You will input and despatch sales invoices, collect customer debts, control the purchase ledger and authorisations, investigate and resolve internal and external queries, post receipts and maintain records of communications on internal systems.

In addition to the above you will provide key account payment dates for the purpose of cash flow forecasting, maintain records of specific customer payment dates, monitor payment performance, up-date management reports, co-ordinate BACS and cheque refunds, assist the audit and tax fieldwork so as to provide evidence and explanations and support the finance department with other tasks as required.

The Person:

You will be confident and able to work naturally as part of a close-knit team. You will have experience of working in a similar capacity. You will need excellent attention to detail, a sound understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, be friendly and have a willing ‘can do’ and get the job done attitude.

You will be flexible, have an excellent telephone manner (client contact) and be quick to assimilate new information, you will also want to learn and develop. A good level of education is essential, (at least 5 grade A-C GCSE’s including Maths and English) and knowledge of a CRM package (full training will be given on the bespoke processing system) and/or accounting software such as Sage would be an advantage although it’s not essential. You will also need a full UK driving licence and transport. Other key elements are that you have very good communication skills, a positive attitude a good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic.

The salary is up to £ 25,000 per annum plus good holidays and benefits
