Financial Accountant
Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire
Salary: £30K - £38K, dependent on qualification stage
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Forza Foods Ltd are now currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to be part of the Finance team, assisting in providing a framework to control the assets of the business through timely reconciliations and adherence to company policies and compliance issues.
The main duties of the Financial Accountant role will include:
• Review of the bank accounts to ensure all entries are reconciled and processed on a timely basis.
• Maintenance of exchange rates in Navision
• Control, monitoring and maintenance of Fixed Asset register
• Audit of monthly journals for completeness and approval
• Timely completion and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
• Preparation of VAT, Intrastat and EC sales list for UK
• Working with the Financial Controller to forecast & budget working capital
• Maintenance of Vendor and Customer master data
• System development and process control/monitoring
• Completing and collation of FCPA bank documentation
• FCA procedures and flows
• FCPA reporting / collation of data to Asda and Walmart for audit purposes
• Sensitive account review
• Payment control and review
• Project Work
Key attributes include:
• Numeracy and literacy
• Able to work to and meet tight deadlines
• Working with the Financial Controller to provide a robust program of controls and governance
• Accounting SLA / KPI’s
Skills and Experience required:
• Ideally in the final stage or having just received an Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Minimum 2 years working in an accounting environment.
• Good Excel & Word skills
Forza Foods Ltd started in 2006 since then our turnover has grown to circa £300m per annum, and we now employ around 1,250 colleagues at our state of the art operation in Normanton. We slice and pack cooked meats for ASDA. In January 2016 we became a wholly owned subsidiary of IPL Ltd, who in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of ASDA.
