Permanent (9:00am – 5:00pm)
Butler Rose is proud to be supporting a local Milton Keynes business with their search for a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a thriving market leader who is currently going through an exciting period of growth. The opportunity will allow an individual to progress and expand their knowledge from a technical perspective.
The right candidate will be someone who enjoys a challenge and embraces change. The business is currently going through an ambitious stage of growth and is seeking people who see opportunity during this period. You will be working closely with both the Finance Manager and Finance Director to make improvements to the department.
Ideally you will be a finalist of newly qualified in either ACCA/ACA or CIMA. This position will support you through your studies if you have not completed them already.
Key responsibility:
* Responsibility for the accurate delivery of the month end tasks, this includes making sure they are within set time frames.
* Journals and balance sheet reconciliations on a bi-monthly basis
* Management of the fixed asset register.
* Various monthly reporting
* Review of systems and controls, making sure they are used to maximum ability and capacity
* Inventory reporting.
* Preparation of documents to assist with the year end audit.
* Looking in to key financial processes, streamlining and processing these where possible
* Diligent, accurate and robust financial analysis where required.
* VAT returns.
* Ad hoc duties as required
