Accountant - Public Sector Contract

At Lex Consultancy we are currently seeking to recruit a qualified accountant to take up a contract position with a public sector body located in Dublin 8. The purpose of this role will be to assist in the management of financial control requirements of the organisation covering financial planing, budgetary contol and financial forecast management. This contract position is to cover maternity leave for a period of 6-9 months. With a 36 hour working week, this role will have the following key responsibilities: •Third party contract financial management •Provide periodic financial reports. •Analyse & prepare periodic accruals •Produce periodic variance analysis •Ensure effective internal controls operate within the business unit. •Budget Preparation To be considered, applicants will meet the following requirements: •Skills in the preparation of high quality, timely and consistent financial reports for internal and external use. •Hands on and analytical approach to problem solving and change management issues. •Computer literate with knowledge of the SAP Financial, Controlling, and Microsoft Office. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
