They are responsible for enhancing the department’s business capability through the effective management of the department’s property portfolio.

Directors in Procurement and Records Management lead high-performing teams that advise on strategic procurement and contract management matters. These roles require the development of innovative procurement solutions to meet the department's business objectives. A strong ability to manage and lead change is also required.

 

Security Branch

 

  • Director Security Governance and Policy

 

  • Director Security Training and Awareness

 

Directors in Security Branch design, implement and promote security services to the department. They influence strategic direction and provide expert security advice to the department. They are responsible for the efficient and effective management of the security function in accordance with relevant security frameworks and legislation. The positions are critical leadership positions working collaboratively with the department’s senior executive. These positions drive innovation and are critical to good governance and building a strong departmental security culture.

 

Key duties may include:

 

• Undertake complex analysis, strategic planning and interpretation while applying significant judgement to manage escalated, highly complex and/or sensitive issues.

• Develop and deliver against annual branch plans that align with business and strategic outcomes.

• Lead the implementation of policy and process review and development of new policies and guidelines, including the implementation and management of government initiatives.

• Provide strategic advice and assistance to the senior executive and stakeholders.

• Manage key stakeholder relationships, internal and external, to ensure the delivery of services that meet business needs.

• Provide leadership to staff, including coaching, mentoring and capability development.

 

Successful candidates will be required to currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
