Financial Controller

About the Financial Controller Role:

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the monthly management, financial and regulatory reporting for the entities assigned under the Financial Controller. You will also be at the forefront of business and corporate initiatives to assess and manage the tax and treasury matters. Furthermore, the Financial Controller will work closely with other financial hubs to be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fee billing, balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management reporting which covers the analysis of business performance and expense analysis whilst supporting the annual budget process
• Responsible for financial control and reporting including the booking per financial instruments, process, book entries and the monthly financial close
• Ensure compliance of the company's financial industry practices and requirements to reporting standards for statutory and MAS reporting
• Produce and file local tax returns (GST), corporate tax and other locally driven returns reports
• Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and processes for finance and other operational areas to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on process improvements and ad hoc queries as well as working with external advisors (auditor and tax consultants)

To succeed in this role as a Financial Controller, you need to be a qualified accountant with Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant experience in accounting, management reporting, financial controlling position (closing activities, reconciliation, general accounting) in an asset management, financial institutionor Family Office environment
• Experience in use and knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and strong MS office tools
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, MAS reporting, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) tax and legal requirements
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously
• External auditing, tax and treasury experience is desirable
