To build up our finance team we are looking for: Senior Accountant (m/f)to be located in Germany, Neu–Isenburg Job DescriptionUnder minimal supervision, performs more complex accounting work in the Finance area. Advises management and employees on complex issues in areas of expertise. In detail:Technical lead for junior accountantsPrepare month end, quarter end and year end close under German Commercial Code & adjustments to US GAAPPrepare/monitors preparation of annual statutory reporting for all German entitiesResponsible for monthly group reporting to USA headquartersPrepare/reviews monthly account reconciliationsPrepare periodic analytical reviewsInteract with local auditors and tax consultantsComplete/reviews monthly VAT declarationsAd hoc reporting and respond to questions from USA headquartersConduct technical accounting research where necessaryAssists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs in areas of specializationProject work Technical SkillsProvides detailed knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and preferably professional accounting qualification. In detail:College graduate in business with concentration in accountingProficiency in local GAAP (HGB) required, US–GAAP knowledge helpfulStrong tax background (e.g. through experience in a tax advisor office)At least 4 years practical experience with month end, quarter end and year end reportingAt least 4 years relevant experience in an international organization including experience in group & tax reportingOracle knowledge preferredExperience with legal entity mergers and changing group structure preferredStrong MS Office (especially MS Excel) knowledge required Personal Skills"Hands–on" mentality with the ability to get things done in a changing environment even under pressure.
