Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, this position will lead the operations audit team in Hong Kong to provide independent assurance services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic support to the Group Head of Internal Audit
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the IT IA Team and London IA Team to carry out the Group Internal Audit Strategy and Plan in an integrated and cohesive manner
  • Effectively manage team members to deliver with high quality major and/or complex audits that provide meaningful impact and insight to the business. Providing on-going coaching and development feedback to team members
  • Drive and promote consistent application of IIA standards, GAAS, Group Audit Methodology and best practices
  • Build and strengthen professional relationships with key stakeholders
  • Be an agent of positive change throughout the organisation with the courage to challenge the status quo and provide constructive and practical recommendations
  • Continually assess risk and be agile to respond to the needs of the business
  • Actively support the Audit Committee and Board

Job Requirements:

  • Highly enthusiastic team-oriented individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and motivated to continuously improve
  • A degree holder with relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA) and a strong control mindset
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a combination of Big Four Accounting Firm and in-house internal audit experience and currently in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, internal control frameworks and industry best practices
  • Exposure / sound understanding of financial market infrastructure operations (including Clearing and Listing) processes and risk management is an advantage
  • Proven ability to multi task, complete projects with high quality and on time, and able to adjust effectively to changing priorities
  • Limited travel to Mainland China and the United Kingdom
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage
