Finance Analyst

Exciting opportunity for Finance Analyst with a major Milton Keynes employer.

Working in the IT Department, you will be required to support the IT Finance Coordinator for an initial period of 3 months.

This role will involve understanding the financial position of the programmes with a view to updating leads on exactly where the organisation is in relation to the agreed budget and current expenditure against it, plus tracking and updating the budget forecasts.

Key duties:

• Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, forecasts etc.).
• Assemble and summarise data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
• Identify trends, advise and recommend actions to key stakeholders
• Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Consult with senior management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision-making in relation to the programme finances
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis for various operational scenarios
• Assist IT Finance Coordinator in developing and implementing Finance processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and growth within the IT Corporate Services Team.
• Any other appropriate duties as determined by IT Finance Coordinator.

This is a temporary role looking for an immediate start and running to at least mid-August.
