Assistant Accountant

The SME subsidiary of a Global Group is seeking a hands on Assistant Accountant to join their team of 3

Reporting to the Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include :

• Process all staff expense claims

• Production of P11Ds

• Quarterly VAT returns

• Submit EC monthly EC sales lists to group

• Manage currency cards for staff, this involves loading cards in the currency needed, managing a posting the monthly prepaid credit card statements per employee

• Reconciliation of monthly credit card statement and posting of transactions

• Monthly Petty cash reconciliation

• Monthly Overhead accruals and prepayments

• Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations

• Bank reconciliations – GBP and USD accounts

• Management of Fixed assets, monthly depreciation journal and fixed assets reconciliation

• Assist in Ad hoc projects

• Provide cover for FC when on holiday / out of the office

  You will ideally be AAT Qualified or Part qualified ACCA/CIMA

  Knowledge of foreign currencies is beneficial

  An immediate start is required - ideally 29th May
