Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ACCA/ACA Part Qualified Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join this successful accountancy firm based in Newcastle Under Lyme. Applicants will need a minimum of two years’ experience of working with a busy public practice accountancy firm, ideally with some audit experience.

The Semi Senior Accountant Job in Staffordshire

This forward thinking multi-office accountancy practice based in Staffordshire works with a good mix of business entities ranging from large complex corporate structures with Turnovers of over £10 million through to smaller SMEs and HNWIs. The independently owned practice has grown significantly in recent years via acquisition and organic growth. They offer a broad range of services, and have a reputation for quality of client delivery.

The responsibilities for the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior job based in Staffordshire include:

• Preparation of Statutory Year end accounts
• Corporation Tax Returns
• VAT Returns
• Preparation of Management Accounts and client reports
• Supervising more junior members of staff
• Audit Fieldwork

Assisting with the planning and completion of audits for a wide and varied client portfolio
The perfect Audit & Accounts Semi Senior will be ACCA/ACA qualified/part qualified with a minimum of two years’ experience in a general accountancy practice for an active accountancy firm. Previous experience in the use of Sage advanced, Sage Corporation Tax and CCH Audit would be an advantage.

As this is intended to progress quickly into a client facing role you will need to be confident in communicating with clients and managing deadlines. There will be ample opportunity within the role to progress and develop client relationships
