Financial Services Manager of Mortgage & Protection Advisors

• Basic Salary circa £40,000+ per annum (negotiable depending on experience).
• Circa £60,000 - £80,000+ conservative Year 1 On Target Earnings.

A leading provider of Mortgages and Protection is now looking to for an experienced Financial Services Manager to take the helm of the operation and develop an existing team of strong performing Mortgage Advisors, whilst also expanding the operation further in order to increase revenue and profit, which has moved from strength to strength over last few years.

Financial Services Manager of Mortgage & Protection Advisors- Responsibilities:

• To drive FS sales activity, in particular through one to one performance review meetings, generation of league tables, positive success PR and personal contact.
• To escalate under-performance to Directors and put in place individual action plans to rectify (performance management).
• To provide FS related training to all relevant advisers and staff in appointment making, with particular emphasis on getting new starters up and running quickly.
• To oversee the induction/mentoring of new advisers, with particular emphasis on ensuring the correct branch environment is created and that appointments are delivered from adviser start date, to ensure new advisers start writing business quickly.
• To ensure time management of the adviser’s diaries to maximise productivity.
• To drive adviser recruitment activity and attend interviews and recruitment evenings.
• To further develop FS penetration of lettings and New Homes, in particular, ensuring that you have adequate adviser coverage for new homes launches and that advisers have sufficient prior information when attending such events.

Financial Services Manager of Mortgage & Protection Advisors - Duties:

• Work with the Directors to ensure Branch teams generate required levels of FS First Appointments by implementation of correct branch processes, performance management process and Broker SLA requirements.
• Work closely with the Lettings, New Homes and Land & Development Managers, to assist in activities with specific reference to the generation of FS First Appointments such as New Homes Launches.
• To train and coach all new starters on company processes in order to get them to deliver target levels of First Appointments.
• To target under-performers within the existing branch networks for additional training and coaching to get them to the target levels of First Appointments and review monthly with the Branch Managers.
• To inspire all staff to generate FS First Appointments by running league tables, incentives and competitions across the network, furthermore to exhibit the required behaviour required to inspire staff to deliver First Appointments.
• To train and coach brokers in minimum standards and to uphold their delivery of such standards and to escalate continued failure to the Directors.
• To work with Regional Management to ensure that the relationships between branch staff and Brokers is going well and to step in where required to avoid escalation of issues.
• To ensure that the operation has the best coverage of Brokers by driving the generation of FS candidates from opportunities and involvement in the recruitment process.
• To monitor the level of leads generated across the business and make changes in FS Broker coverage to ensure that FS results are maximised.
• To lead the recruitment process including self-generation of FS candidates for available opportunities whilst working with central recruitment and external agencies.
• To collate salary returns for all FS staff.
• To prepare for and attend monthly meetings, mid-month emails and pledge reviews.
• To review management accounts and control costs, which are reviewed on a monthly basis with the Group MD.

Financial Services Manager of Mortgage & Protection Advisors - Experience / Qualifications:

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent).
• A successful sales record / history with previous experience in managing a team of Mortgage Advisors.
• A full understanding of the Mortgage & Protection Markets
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience of Financial Services sales and a full understanding of compliance regulations.
• Previous managerial experience.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Proven background in mortgage advice and sales.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Hard working and focused.
