Commercial Finance Analyst

Based in Luton, Bedfordshire, our client is a growing global company looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit an ACCA/ CIMA Finalist or Newly Qualified Accountant with excellent business partnering and analytical skills. The job will involve supporting reporting within the team as well as supporting the Finance Business Partner in delivering the monthly reporting.

This company is an established and well known business and one of the biggest and most prolific in the area. The company is renowned for its staff development, providing great training and progression.

The successful individual will have great Excel skills including reporting and modelling along with excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills. It is essential the candidate has an inquisitive nature with a numerate and analytical personality. Experience working in a finance team within a large, fast paced organisation is essential.

Duties will include:

• Production of regular and ad hoc reporting that supports the delivery of the operations plan and helps to drive performance improvement
• Quickly and efficiently turn around new reporting for specific projects or business initiatives that provides insight into the performance of the initiatives and projects
• Provide support to the Finance Business Partner around weekly/monthly reporting and processes
• Development and ownership of site level budgeting models for sales and margin
• Provide continuous improvement approach that enables improvements in accuracy of site level targets
• Supporting the Finance Business Partner's through the budgeting/forecasting process
• Analysis of site performance, developing reporting that provides insight to the business partners and operations
• Monthly insight into sales performance, including drivers for variances to budget/plan
• Reviewing processes with the Finance Business Partner - core operations, providing potential solutions to streamline or automate the process where possible
• Support the Finance Business Partners with the month end processes
