Sheridan Maine Finance & Accountancy has been chosen to recruit a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant in Portsmouth due to growth. This role would suit a Finance or similar degree graduate / AAT studier who is looking to develop their skills.

Our client is a well-established organisation with a proactive approach. Due to continued growth, this large Finance Team is looking for a motivated team member to take ownership of key duties within the accounts functions. This role also offers AAT study support!

As a Finance Assistant, you will report to Finance Manager. Duties include:

• Bank Reconciliations

• Banking and cheque runs

• Foreign transfers

• Banks transfer of funds via CHAPS

• Billing and credit notes

• Transactional ledger duties

• Investigate discrepancies

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience within an accounting environment or proven experience within finance

• Positive attitude

• Confident

• Keen leaner

• AAT studier desirable but not essential
