Management Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are currently recruiting for a leading IT development business based in Rotherham. The continually expanding listed business and has offices located in 7 different areas of the country. Within the organisation, an opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join the finance function on a maternity contract and will be reporting to the Head of Finance.

The business are looking to hire someone who is pro-active, diligent and have the ability to question and challenge throughout the role which is a maternity role to begin with. The ideal candidate will have a background within a similar sector, although this isn't essential and involve the following duties:

*Responsible for management information, month end procedures, control environment and Group reporting for their assigned business units
*Work with management within the businesses to ensure that trading data and forecasts are sufficiently robust and perform variance analysis to both budget and forecast
*Ensure that all financial transactions are correctly processed and appropriately reflected in the GL
*Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed and variances are investigated and reported in a timely manner
*Support with annual budget preparation and reporting
*Constructing monthly/quarterly cash flows
*Accountable to Head of Finance for implementing agreed Group policies/strategies and achievement of agreed objectives
*Support the team with technical accounting and taxation queries
*Preparation and submission of Local Statutory accounts
*Presentation of monthly results at the monthly management meetings
*Adhoc projects as required by management
