Credit Advisor
Part-time credit advisor for a rapidly growing finance company .
The ideal candidate for the credit advisor position will come from a banking or finance background .
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality service while maintaining required performance standards, including maintaining accurate documentation with emphasis on one call resolution.
- Communicate and interact with Merchants, external clients to maintain and update merchant accounts with a strong focus on client retention.
- Educate clients on the consumer retail industry and transaction processing.
- Provide technical troubleshooting Merchants.
- Provide portal training for merchant clients on how to use their specific product(s).
- Build terminal profiles and assist merchant with necessary terminal integration.
- Lead efforts to upgrade products/services for end of life.
- Maintain working knowledge of internal and external Merchant Services products, systems, and practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all applicable point-of-sale hardware and software solutions.
- Prepare documentation to update account information, close accounts, perform rate reviews and pricing offers.
- Escalate sensitive, complex, and large financial, compliance or reputational issues to management where appropriate.
- Ability to use credit principles, analytical thinking skills, attention to detail and financial acumen to review and action consumer credit decisions within credit policy – dotted line reporting to Credit Director
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer navigation and keyboarding skills, including ability to multi-task and navigate between multiple internal and external systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule/overtime, as needed.
- Ability to travel, occasional overnights.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a detailed oriented environment.
- Consumer credit underwriting experience in a fast-paced environment is needed.
Salary - £13-14p/h
This is part-time or position working Monday – Friday 4pm – 8:30pm with a Saturday/ Sunday 10am – 4pm on a shift pattern basis.
