You will be working as an accounts assistant for a reputable company in Amersham.

Your new role

You will be working as an accounts assistant alongside the Financial Controller. You will be updating the daily cashflow, inputting cashbook entries into the relevant system from the bank statements as well as reconciling and uploading sales invoices onto the system for month end. Taking responsibility for the sales ledger, you will be raising all sales invoices, uploading invoices within the specified time and being the first point of call for resolving any debtor queries. Working on the purchase ledger you will upload payment files to be authorised for payment in the relevant time period, assist with the payment reports as well as entering invoices onto the system as required. Monitoring the bank accounts throughout the day, downloading and distributing the credit card statements as well as participating in the required monthly and quarterly duties add to your responsibilities, which being flexible to ad hoc duties as specified by the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working as part of a finance team, have worked on excel before and knowledge of Sage would be desirable. You will enjoy working as part of a team and be flexible to the ad hoc requirements of the team, as well as being confident to express ideas about how processes can be improved.
