Assistant Accountant

Our client, a small, ambitious and progressive Accountancy Practice in Gloucestershire, is looking for a talented Accounts Assistant on a full time, permanent basis to start as soon as possible.

Reporting to the fully qualified Practice Manager and working with other qualified professionals, the post holder will be responsible for preparing accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders and PLC’s as well as assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping. In addition, you will be providing a first class client service in writing, over the phone and in person.

We are looking for an AAT qualified (or by experience) candidate with some experience of working in an Accountancy Practice who has exposure to bookkeeping and preparation of accounts. In addition the successful candidate will be commercially minded, self-motivated and possess a high work ethic as well as being a competent user of SAGE and Excel.
