Chase & Holland is currently working closely with a growing manufacturing business in Barnsley. After a recent restructure, they are keen to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of finance. This is a hands on position where you will be responsible for business partnering, management accounts and managing a team of ledger clerks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts across the company
- Advising key stakeholders within the business on cost saving strategies
- Leading a small, but growing team
- Presenting financial reports to the board of directors
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Developing current finance practices and processes
- Carrying out regular sales and margin analysis
- Reporting to and liaising with the group's senior accounts team
- Supervising and mentoring a small team
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Preparing year end accounts
- Forecasting and controlling cash flow
- Carrying out a bi-annual audit across the business
- Calculating and processing tax returns
- Analysing sales and margins and reporting findings to the suitable managers
- Providing contract support and advising on pricing
- Overseeing credit control and the ledgers, advising clerks when necessary
Required Skills and Experience:
- A CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification
- Previous experience of management accounts, ideally within a manufacturing business
- A track record of managing projects successfully
- Excellent business partnering skills
- Confidence liaising regularly with senior management
