Role: We are looking for a HR Manager for the Abbey Group Working closely with the HR Director and supporting the wider management team across the Group, the successful candidate will be based in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of a variety of HR activities whilst making a significant contribution to the development and implementation of the company's strategic people plan. This is a fast paced and varied role suited to a HR Manager or an experienced HR Generalist looking to progress to a management role. Candidates should have a proven track record in HR practice with prior management of HR Administrators/ other staff being a distinct advantage. Occasional travel to other offices within the group will be required. Core Duties Include: Act as a support to managers across the Abbey group providing advice across all areas of people management including; talent acquisition, reward & recognition, performance management, colleague engagement, employee relations and learning & development. Manage & support the activities, performance and development of the HR team - 1 x HR Administrator, 1 x HR intern through coaching and advice. Manage the Recruitment & Selection activity within the team - advertise vacant positions in relevant media and with designated recruitment companies, shortlisting applications, managing the interview process and acknowledging unsuccessful candidates. Manage the sourcing of Interns in line with agreed protocol and processing their applications and paperwork. Manage the on boarding of staff & interns and staff probationary periods by liaising in a timely manner with managers. Co-ordinate exit interviews for any permanent members of staff should they arise. Manage the co-ordination of the bi-annual staff appraisals, follow up reports and delivery of resulting actions. Seek to identify and bring continuous improvements to our internal HR system TMS and to our existing HR processes & reports. Management of any Employee Relations matters which arise - various Leaves, Illness etc  in liaison with our Employee Assistance Programme and line Managers as required Assist with the identification and booking of internal & external training. Preparation and presentation of trainee/ new staff Inductions Ensure compliance with employment law practices in all jurisdictions and championing HR best practice across the group. Manage all administration related to the HR functions undertaken within the team - Appt letters, Contracts, probation follow up, flexible benefits options, audit of personnel files. Attend and participate at the bi-monthly meeting of the HR committee ensuring weekly circulation of meeting minutes to the Board. Co-ordinate as required on HR projects including the ongoing engagement initiatives Support the company in fulfilling its obligations in relation to Health & safety matters Full participation with the Companys Area Managers team You will report to the HR Director. Skills & Experience: Third level qualification in HR and relevant experience Knowledge of the principles and procedures for recruitment & selection, learning & development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and HR systems Utmost integrity in the discreet handling of confidential information is essential Strong people skills - a clear, approachable and friendly communication style. The ability to be impartial and objective when dealing with employee issues.
