Description

As Financial Controller you will maintain a strong internal control environment for the Finance function and the wider business to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and reporting requirements.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Production and review of annual company budget and longer term budgets.

• Communicate budgets and forecast to senior management as required, together with analysis and commentary.

• Monitor the achievement of actual results against the budget/forecast and communicate this to senior management.

• Review of reports and presentations requested by ultimate parent company.

• Review and approval of monthly management accounts.

• Review and approval of ultimate parent company management reporting packages.

• Preparation of Parent, Subsidiary and Group Financial statements under IFRS.

• Liaison with external auditors and manage the external audit.

• Corporation taxation, employment taxation, VAT reporting and payment.

• Review of Research and Development expenditure credit calculation.

• Liaise with all ultimate parent company UK subsidiaries to ensure compliance with UK tax laws as a group.

• Liaison with internal auditors and manage the internal audit.

Profile

The successful candidate will be ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified. Ideally you will have gained your experience within a Big Four or Blue Chip environment. You will have an ability to operate in a corporate and SME environment to work with senior management and strive for better performance.
