Divisional Financial Controller

We are currently working with a Private Equity backed Retail Business. They have just received a further £10 million in funding and as a result are looking to grow their team. The business currently has an Ebitda of £4 million and is looking to acquire a further two businesses in the next 18 months. They operate globally and are looking to expand there team by creating a new position within their UK office. This is a very unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing business that has a global reach spanning four continents.

The role

While working as the Divisional Financial Controller, you will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller in Sweden. You will have three direct reports and will be responsible for:

• Creating monthly cash flows, budgets and forecasts for your division
• Preparing VAT returns and statutory accounts
• Providing leadership to your Team
• Improving overall controls and processes within the finance function
• Managing external audit process
• Business partnering with non-finance team and stakeholders

The candidate

This organisation is looking for a strong minded individual who can communicate effectively both nationally and internationally. Key qualities that you must possess are:

• Strong and direct communicator
• Had exposure to senior management and non-finance team in the past
• Have displayed good leadership skills in the past
• Engaged in business partnering activities
• Systems literate and able to grasp new concepts quickly
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA,CIMA) along with 5 years PQE
• Multi site experience is essential.
