We are a financial services business based in Sheffield and we are currently looking for someone to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation VAT returns and financial statements (including Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance sheet, cash flow, projection etc.) for the clients ranging from sole traders, partnerships and Limited companies.

2. Liaising with HMRC and dealing with tax enquiries for clients.

3. Development of company’s accounting procedures, ensuring all clients’ accounting records are robust and secure.

4. As a key member of staff within the senior team, you will need to assist the team in all technical aspects of accounts production, bookkeeping, payroll, servicing the clients, along with supervising staff members and reviewing files.

5. Managing team members’ daily work and monitoring the progress of all the tasks.

6. Managing various deadlines, eg. VAT deadlines every quarter, limited companies deadlines every month, and self assessment deadline etc.

7.Representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements: (Skills, qualifications, experience)

1. ACCA qualified Senior Accountant and have more than 5 year experience of working within an accountancy practice, and be able to demonstrate the abilities of accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT returns, payroll and book keeping services.

2. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

3. Professional, logical, numerate, discreet, hard working, responsible and dedicated.

4. Good computer skills, familiar with Microsoft products.

5. Effective time management, planning and prioritising skills, and proven ability to meet to strict deadlines.

6. Ability to work autonomously.

7. Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment.

8. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

9. Great communicator with excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.

10. Applicants must be confident in providing advisory services, be able to deliver, build and develop client relationships with professional knowledge and confidence.

11. Being able to organise and manage the office work, capture and resolve the problems, and manage the performance activities.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (9.00 - 17.30)
