Newly-created role which represents a fantastic opportunity for a recently-qualified Big 4 ACA to join a high-performing finance function in a growing international business.

Description

  • Production of the monthly Group management accounts and related reports, to provide financial information to the Board and other stakeholders
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the group audit process to deliver audited financial statements, to comply with our statutory obligations.
  • Produce board reports and other ad-hoc reports to enable strategic decision-making by the Board.
  • Prepare the Group budget and support the preparation of all subsidiary budgets and forecasts to ensure an efficient and reliable budgeting process.
  • Assist treasury management and the production of cash-flow forecasts for the group so as to ensure compliance with bank covenants.
  • Liaise with Business Intelligence staff on the continuous development and improvement of the financial systems to increase the efficiency of transaction processing and reporting.
  • Keep up to date with the latest accounting standards and guidance and implement changes, as required, so as to ensure financial practices are in line with current standards and legislation.
  • Act as the day-to-day Group Finance contact for subsidiaries, providing information and best practice or resolving issues as appropriate, in order to encourage a professional and effective department.
  • Work with other A-Gas territories to ensure the delivery of Group business objectives and projects
  • Liaising with shareholders, bankers, lawyers and other advisors as and when required and fulfilling any information requests they may have.
  • Profile

    Essential:

  • Qualified accountant with either the CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifications
  • Experience with multi-currency consolidations
  • Technical knowledge of FRS 102
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and a knack for IT systems
  • Desirable:

  • Technical knowledge of IFRS
  • In-depth understanding of UK tax accounting
  • Working experience with IBM Cognos TM1 software
