Due to continued growth, our client has an immediate requirement for an Accounts Administrator. This is for an initial 6 month period, with the potential opportunity to then be offered a permanent role within their finance team. Your responsibilities will be varied, and will involve the following:

  • Preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns to HMRC, via their online portal
  • Under supervision from the Payroll Manager, operating the weekly payroll for c.1,000 contractors
  • Preparing quarterly trading and taxation forecasts for Limited Company clients
  • Preparing and submitting Financial Statements to Companies House on behalf of Limited Company clients
  • Preparing and filing Corporation Tax returns with HMRC
  • Appointing new Directors to Limited Companies, using form AP01 to submit to Companies House
  • Preparing and submitting Confirmation Statements to Companies House
  • Preparing and submitting form DS01 to Companies House to dissolve Limited Companies
  • Completing financial returns required by the Office for National Statistics
  • Setting up clients in the practice database

This will best suit self-motivated candidates who are IT literate, ideally with familiarity of Excel and Access. Although some relevant work experience would prove useful, candidates of any background are welcome to apply, for example, fresh graduates, or if you've previously worked in a different specialism, as this role offers an excellent entry level into a finance career. You will be based from their impressive, modern offices on the North East side of Leeds, where free on-site parking is provided, together with the option of flexitime.
