Assistant Accountant - Ware - £19,000 - £25,000
A business based in Ware are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and motivated Finance team to work closely with the Financial Controller. The company has a fantastic team culture and the successful candidate will be keen to get stuck in and be a self motivated team player who picks things up quickly.
Main responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant will be:
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments
- Administration of Fixed Assets & projects including producing monthly report and reconciliation
- Distribute month end reports
- Assist with VAT returns and reconciliations
- Co ordinate and lead regular budget holder meetings
The ideal candidate will:
- Be studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
- Have previous accounting experience
- Have excellent communication skills
