Well established Ascot accountancy practice have an opening for a Payroll Manager. The key purpose of the Payroll Manager is overall responsibility for the Practices Payrolls including supervision of a small team.
Your key responsibilities include :

Taking overall responsibility for a portfolio of 300+payrolls

Managing portfolio and team members ensuring work completed according to strictdeadlines

Process more complex/technical payrolls from start to finish using IRIS ProfessionalPayroll

Responsibility for driving technical excellence and ensuring the team are technically up todate

Supervise and review work ofteam

Identify improvements in processes and drive new ways ofworking

Meet with existing, new and potentialclients
-
Dealing with all complex client, employee and HMRC payroll queries including PAYEinvestigations

Advising new clients with their payroll set up, HMRC requirements, deadlines andcommitments

Explaining payroll service to potential clients and assist withproposals/quotes

Employee contractual advice around new joiners, redundancy payments,dismissals

Advise on more complex areas of SSP, SMP,SPP

Liaise with Financial Services department to ensure pensions are correctly set up within payroll (qualifying schemes and auto- enrolment)

Administration of monthly pension uploads and declarations ofcompliance
-
Liaising with Tax department in relation to ex-pat employees/modified payrollschemes
The ideal Payroll Manager will be someone who has had previous experience in running Multi Client payrolls with previous supervisory and good system skills, a competent Excel user and in return you will receive a salary between £40k-£45k
