Accounts Manager

This role is for an Accounts Manager with a Practice background and committed to continuing a career within Practice. You will have the opportunity to work with a different set of clients, thereby developing and broadening your skills, knowledge and experience. You will need to have experience derived from working within Professional Practice Accountancy.

We are looking for people who have experience working with a varied client portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies from a range of industries. Relevant accountancy qualifications will be an advantage and Public Practice experience is essential.

While some firms have clear ideas about the experience that they require, many will be interested in speaking with you to ascertain your ambition and team fit. Duties will vary per firm and may include:

• Preparation of monthly and yearly accounts
• Personal and corporation tax computations and returns
• External audits (statutory or elective)
• Liaising with clients regarding their accounts and any queries
• Management accounts
• Assisting the broader team as required
• Assisting the Manager with ad hoc project work for clients
• Mentoring trainees and helping them with queries
