Payroll Clerk

THE COMPANY: Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Payroll Clerk for a large, reputable organisation based in Rotherham. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Chesterfield, Rotherham and Barnsley.

THE JOB: Working in an established team duties will include:

• Calculate Gross Pay and net pay, manually, where required, understanding the requirement for accuracy
• Understand the regulations relating to PAYE Income Tax/National Insurance
• Basic understanding of regulations of Teachers/LGPS Pensions
• Processing new starters and leavers paperwork
• Processing temporary changes along with bulk process administration for key activities including acquisitions, and payroll & reward communications
• Administering and assisting with Pensions and Rewards
• Processing pension applications, pension amendments, and payments to the pension provider
• Provide first level advice on payroll & reward related queries to line managers in accordance with policies and procedures
• Support HR Shared Service Centre led projects and activities Other ad hoc duties as required

THE PERSON: Previous experience of running end to end payroll is essential along with demonstratable manual calculations. Knowledge of current employment legislation is essential You must be numerate with good attention to details The ability to manage your time effectively is required You must have excellent communication and IT skills
