The Finance Manager will work alongside a new business stream to provide professional financial support to the business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Client Details

An established market leader within the construction and engineering sector which has seen significant growth over the last few years which has led to a series of acquisitions in recent years.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts, including budget and cash forecast and production of rolling forecasts of project profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Managing and leading a team
  • Financial review of regular site management reports and applications, maintaining project financial records, and monitoring transactions
  • Responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial reports
  • Act as a financial partner to the relevant leadership teams to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
  • Support operational management to drive business performance
  • Manage the balance sheet, cash flow and credit control routines for the Region
  • Accountable for accurate cash flow forecasting and credit checks on clients and key supply chain partners
  • Ensure risk is effectively managed and reported
  • Analyse and report on key business financial information
  • Provide constructive challenge and input into project/contract review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Fully qualified at CIMA, ACA, ACCA level or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years' management accountancy experience to advanced level in contract accounting
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office package
  • Utility contracting or Railway/ Construction industry knowledge
  • Analytical and report writing skills
