The Opportunity of this Finance Manager job in Athlone, Co Westmeath Created due to company re-structuring, this is an excellent job for a technically strong Finance Manager (ACA/ACCA/CPA) who enjoys working in a top performing team of accountants in a best practice, global environment. Your new job: Supported by an Associate Director of Financial Reporting (ACA), you will lead a team of part and fully-qualified accountants in GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Financial Accounting. Bringing your technical expertise to the month-end close process, you will provide hands-on guidance in the preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts for the Irish entities under IFRS. You will lead internal and external audits and support your Tax colleagues with transfer pricing, withholding tax and year end filing requirements. Your expertise in Revenue Accounting will be utilised by the Manufacturing & Operations teams, in particular with regard to the new revenue recognition rules around ASC 606 and IFRS 15.  You will work closely with these teams to ensure the processes are tailored appropriately to comply with the new regulations. And as a Finance Leader in the company, you will participate in and lead global projects in process and cost improvements.  One project that you will lead initially will be in investigating and implementing a new Procure-To-Pay (P2P) platform, which may involve occasional travel to other sites. What you need to succeed: This is a great job for a motivated Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with strong technical expertise in financial reporting & people management, gained from large practice training  (Big 4/Top 20) and/or SSC type environments. You will call upon your PQE (approx. 5-8yrs) as a finance leader in industry to provide expertise to the manufacturing & logistics teams, particularly around revenue recognition.
