Tax Accountant

Walker Andersen is proud to announce a recruitment partnership with a Financial Services firm who are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team of professionals. As a Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include: Review policyholder Irish and International tax calculations in respect of capital gains tax and stamp duty withholding tax obligations of the company. Review company Irish and International tax returns in respect of VAT, Corporation Tax and Insurance Premium Tax. Ensure that appropriate tax documentation and procedures are in place in relation to all taxes Review tax sections of any new product literature Undertake tax risk and control analysis and design improvements to tax-related processes Engage with external advisors Assist the Head of Tax in respect of tax implications of group transactions (e.g. mergers and acquisitions) Minimum qualifications for this role: Tax qualified and most likely a qualified accountant 3-5 years post qualification, ideally gained within the Financial Services Industry Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership of assignments.
