About the role

The Clinical Nurse role is responsible for supporting the Care Manager to provide clinical supervision, mentoring and leadership to Nursing and Care Worker staff and person-centred care for residents. The Clinical Nurse ensures compliance with legislative requirements to enable us to continue to deliver a high standard of care, services and most importantly a quality lifestyle for our residents.

What you bring

  • Registered Nurse with current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing aged care
  • Commitment to, and experience in, contemporary aged care practice
  • Experience and sound ability to support and lead a multi-disciplinary team in a nursing environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in assessment and care planning of the older person
  • Experience in a clinical leadership role with the ability to manage day to day clinical issues
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance in a residential aged care environment including ACFI and accreditation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, manage and delegate day to day activities in an efficient manner
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • An ongoing commitment to work within the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary Retirement Communities
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police History Check - a current and satisfactory clearance is a condition of employment
