THE ROLE
To contribute to the profitability and success of Service Stream''s Energy and Water business by overseeing the operational & financial performance of SA Power Networks Asset Inspection Contract, ensuring that annual program targets are met in accordance with acceptable quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic allocation of feeders and poles across network to ensure annual program targets are achieved
Measuring and managing daily productivity to unlock maximum output across team through reporting, daily feedback and performance management
Monitoring and reporting on quality of asset information being collected and adherence to work practices amongst group of inspectors.
Meet/exceed budget and ensure accurate and timely (weekly) financial forecasts
Develop strong client relationships and act as key point of contact including managing all client enquiries and expectations
Attending all customer meetings, keeping copies of agendas and minutes. Ensure action items expected of the company contained in those minutes are adhered to.
Managing all operational internal issues including building relationships with internal clients to ensure issues are promptly rectified and meet the projects requirements (i.e. IT and Logistics)
Promote a systematic approach to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Issues and adhere to all HSE Policies & Procedures
Report all HSE Incidents in line with Service Stream''s Incident Reporting Process and Client''s own requirements
Investigates all employee injuries, near misses and workplace hazards in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant occupational health and safety and environmental procedural guidelines
Provide coaching and mentoring to operational staff, ensuring all direct reports are trained and equipped with the necessary skills to be able to carry out all duties associated with the conditions of the contract they are servicing
Provide an excellent customer service and follow up any customers'' complaints within 24 hours
Develop appropriate systems, processes and control mechanisms to improve operational and financial performance
Ensure monthly reporting is completed in line with Client and Management requirements
At all times create an environment of good team spirit among all employees and contractors
Explore / Action opportunities for further Business Development, generate new business activities/value add services outside of current work scope.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
People management (operational/field environment desirable)
Experience in Contract, Customer and Client management
Organisational and Workforce planning experience
Management Systems focus (Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental)
Business, financial reporting and budgeting experience
Intermediate level Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook + databases
Experience problem solving and dealing with complex issues
Interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years'' experience in a supervisory or operational based role
Certificate 4 (or higher) in Business and/or Frontline Management desirable but not essential
