Estimator (Building)

The People Stack have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to take the next big step in their career. This position offers the chance to work with a Main Contractor with a view to heading up their Estimating Department. About the company:  Our client is of one Ireland's leading Main Contractors who established themselves in the Irish Construction market in the 1970s. Over the last four decades they have out-performed many of their competitors. A key to their success is that they recognise the talents of their staff and they encourage growth through continuous development programmes. What you will be doing:  As the Senior Estimator, you will develop and lead the estimating team to provide the complete estimating service on suitable building contracts for the company, and to provide this service accurately and on time. You will have your finger on the pulse and know about all upcoming relevant contracts that are seeking tenders and do everything in your power to ensure that the successful tender and documents are produced by you and your team. You will manage your team effectively through ongoing monitoring and formal staff appraisals. You will liaise with other departments throughout the project stages to ensure everything is on track. What you will need:  You will need to have at least 5 years' experience, ideally in a similar role with a main contractor and hold a degree in your chosen field. To successfully manage projects and lead a team to success you will need to have excellent time management, communication and presentation skills. Experience with ConQuest would be an advantage.
