Description : The company is currently looking for a revenue recognition manager to backfill a key role within the EMEA finance headquarters of this multinational company. Revenue is an area of considerable focus in this NASDAQ quoted software development company, and this role is pivotal with regard to the various stakeholders it interacts with. The successful candidate will need to develop an understanding of the company's products as well as a good familiarity with the commercial processes of the organisation. Key Tasks : Coordinating efforts across the relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate revenue position for the EMEA region Liaise with the sales management team to manage the transition of all revenue opportunities from the company pipeline to the relevant financial revenue streams. Work closely with service delivery and business operations to monitor and track all revenue generating projects within the EMEA region. Manage Revenue Accountant on the team to ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue recognised under new ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition criteria. Responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation in place to facilitate recognition of revenue as per criteria of ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition rules. Reviewing commercial documentation for revenue recognition issues as part of sales and contract review process. Work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to verify and understand any actual to forecast variances on a monthly basis. Working closely with external & internal auditors to facilitate the audit of the EMEA revenue. Responsible for maintaining revenue related balance sheet items in month end and quarter end processes, for the EMEA entities and working to tight deadlines in that regard ensuring SOX compliance. Strong focus on providing timely and accurate reporting Ad-hoc projects Input into continuous improvement of revenue/sales controls, procedures and processes Skill Requirements : Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferably with at least 3 year PQE in industry Software Industry Experience a very good bonus but not essential Ability to adapt to fast paced constantly evolving business environment is essential Good technical knowledge and experience of interpreting revenue guidance under IFRS 15 and ASC 606 Excellent Excel Knowledge (advanced functions, pivot tables etc) Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills Attention to detail is essential for the role Excellent organisational skills with a strong commitment and ability to meet deadlines Multi-currency exposure Ability to work on own initiative Strong oral and written communication skills are essential Prior experience of SalesForce.com package an advantage but not essential Prior experience of Oracle ERP system preferable
