Role: You will be responsible for all general ledger related requests for updates. This includes account maintenance, reporting, monitoring posting periods, security requests, table updates, account reconciliations and systems balancing. Process routine SAP maintenance requests Update balance sheets Process month end journals for accruals and prepayments Interact with and provide requested reports/data to D&T auditors Adhere to checklist of closing related deliverables Perform balancing of processing to controls Respond to ad hoc requests related to assigned tasks Represent Accounting's interests at project meetings Problem solve and make independent decisions Essential Criteria: You must have strong academics, preferably a degree in an accounting or IT based subject and 1 years experience, ideally in an accounting based role, an understanding of debits and credits and high volume reconciliations. A sound understanding of an ERP based system (ideally SAP) would be a huge advantage as well as high level of IT literacy and ability to understand large data sets and create reports and database management.
