Management Accountant

I am currently partnering with a well known SME business based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks that are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their team.

Description

The role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Ensure that the banks are reconciled on a regular basis and all queries are resolved

• Raise monthly journals including accruals and prepayments and payroll journals

• Manage fixed asset register and raise depreciation journals

• Undertake monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns

• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts investigating and explaining any variances

• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting - analysis as required.

• Manage the integrity of the information in the finance system including the sales and margin

• Assist with external and internal audit processes

• Manage the bank invoice funding facility and undertake a monthly reconciliation submission.

• Prepare month end reports for senior management team and other ad hoc management reports

• Authorise supplier payments and assist in the management of monthly cash flow

• Liaise with Customer Service department, IT and Development teams and senior management as required.

• Raise recommendations for process improvements within the finance function

• Carry out month end duties as assigned

Profile

• ACCA/ACA newly qualified (ideally from a top 20 practice)
• Strong excel skills
• Superlative attention to detail
• Strong integrity, honesty and discretion
• Proactive and questioning approach
