Description
Position Summary:
The Bank Chain Local Regulatory Reporting (LRR) team is responsible for the preparation and submission of most Local Regulatory Reports (LRRs) to the Australian regulatory authorities, including APRA, RBA and ABS. The team comprises 4 regulatory reporting accountants, covering ~180 types of LRR across four main operating entities
The main operating are Citigroup Pty Ltd (CPL), Citibank NA Sydney Branch (CBNA), Citibank NA New Zealand Branch (CBNZ) and Diners Club Pty Ltd (Diners)
This role prepares and submits a range of LRRs across the above entities, timely and accurately, in accordance with all relevant local regulatory reporting requirements
Examples of LRRs include ARF 320 series, ARF 391 series, ARF 330, ARF 117, ARF 118, International Exposures, Form 90, and monitoring of Citigroup Pty Ltd large exposures
Key Accountabilities:
Preparation of Daily Large Exposure reporting
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual returns to APRA and other Australian regulatory authorities, timely, in accordance with regulatory requirements, and to standards required by Internal Audit
Assistance with audited annual financial statements for local operating entities
Analysis of returns to ensure all variances exceeding specified thresholds are fully explained
Involvement in regulatory projects and other key financial initiatives as required
Monitor changes in regulatory guidelines and regulations
Assist with the continual improvement of processes, procedures and documentation
Qualifications
Key Competencies/Skills/Experience:
Strong background in Banking and Financial Services
Sound experience in Regulatory Reporting, esp. APRA Prudential Standards/Reporting Forms
Strong ability to meet tight deadlines, and manage time and conflicting priorities
Strong ability to work both independently, and as an active contributor to teams
Strong stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and strong ability to work under pressure
Flexible, motivated and enthusiastic approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn new financial systems quickly
Strong Excel skills
Qualifications Required:
Commerce/Business Degree (e.g. major in accounting or finance)
Qualified CA/CPA with minimum 3+ years PQE experience
