The Role:

Our client is an award winning recognised leader in Project and Construction Management. They design and construct residential, commercial, industrial, retail, office, apartment, aged care and mixed-use developments. They strive to build business on the performance of their delivery systems to secure repeat clients.

They are seeking a Foreman to join their continually expanding team. You will be responsible for driving all site based operations and ensuring quality construction delivery. You will mentor a strong and capable site team while overseeing programming, scheduling and subcontractor management, WHS, IR and client liaison. You be a natural troubleshooter who has the ability to get best resolve. Trade and/or tertiary qualifications are essential. This role is for Residential projects, mainly being town house developments.

Your duties will include:
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the applicable Collection Agreement and safety and environmental regulations
  • Complete programming and scheduling
  • Ensure that all workers are inducted into site conditions and rules including those relating to safety and environmental control
  • Monitor/manage the safety and Quality Assurance
  • Coordinate the work of employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and compliance to safety and environmental standards and take prompt corrective action as necessary
  • Forward plan daily/weekly/monthly construction work including resource requirements, trade co-ordination
  • Manage site security, material/plant deliveries, storage and general organisation
  • Maintain day-by-day site diary records including photographs
Other skills and attributes required include:
  • Experience in the management and delivery of projects
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
  • Highly proficient attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
  • Be proficient in using the Microsoft suite including Microsoft Project (or equivalent)
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • Be professionally presented
  • An enthusiastic approach to work
  • A positive attitude is a must
