D4 Products was founded in 2004 and is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of industrial and domestic roller and sectional doors.  The company have enjoyed sustained growth over the years and in order to bring the business to the next level, the support of a dynamic Financial Controller is required. Reporting to the Directors, your role will incorporate the day to day management of the finance function, you will be responsible for financial reporting, financial planning analysis, cost analysis, cash flow management, project work relating to systems and processes, improving efficiencies and adding value to the business.  Working as a strategic business partner in this 4.5M revenue B2B organisation your role will be broad and varied. RESPONSIBILITES WILL INCLUDE Developing procedures and systems to support forecasting, financial planning, cost analysis and to measure financial performance. Leads and provides financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of the business plan and budgets and to manage relevant budgets appropriately. Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analyses, interpretations and projections to management as required to include preparing & reviewing forecasts to assist management in business planning and decision-making. Gather and analyze financial information for internal use to support the budgeting and funding of the business going forward Work on cost analysis and cost reduction projects to maximize profitability for the business. Maximizes cash flow performance of the business through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances Is the businesses credit manager. Enforces, documents and establishes adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets, and ensures controls will satisfy or improve the level of customer service. Conducts monthly inspections and tests to ensure all divisions/departments are complying with required procedures. Follows up on all capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval. Provides proactive administrative support to management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance. Obtains appropriate legal advice regarding business practices, and maintains awareness of Irish rules, laws and regulations. Reviews prices and recommends changes to the General Manager. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned and required. THE PERSON Preferably qualified or part-qualified Accountant with at least 3 years industry/commercial experience including experience and/or responsibility for financial reporting, financial planning analysis, cost analysis and cash flow management. Strong solution focused individual with strong project management, IT/Excel skills to support project delivery and development of systems, processes and controls. Ability to determine key relevant information and ensure systems and processes support production and presentation of appropriate financial metrics in a meaningful way for all stakeholders. A background in manufacturing would be an advantage but not essential. Must be willing to develop and lead the administration team and to plan and prioritize work activities and to use time efficiently.
