Commercial Accountant

Skills/Experience Required? Excellent written and verbal communication fluency in English? Professional qualification in the field of accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)? 5+ years accountancy experience in a commercial environment? Experience with budgeting, cost estimation and analysis and fiscal management principals and procedures? Demonstrated managementand variance reporting experience? Advanced level expertise in MS Office Applicationswith good presentation skills? Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload? Self-Motivated and ability to work independentlyJob DescriptionReportingPreparation of weekly and monthly managementreports for the sectorCompletion of variance analysis on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and identify trends.Reporting on drivers of variances within the business.Completion ofroutine reconciliations on a monthlybasisDevelopment of vertical budgeting, reforecasting and strategic planning with comparisons to prior year and budget / reforecast.Preparation of weekly, monthly and other business review decks/reports as required.P&L Ownership / Performance Management and ImprovementMonitoring performance and reporting variances to budget, forecast and prior yearDevelop and update appropriate KPIs across the vertical in conjunction with internal operations and resourcing planning teams with a view to fostering a culture of accountabilityIdentifying areas of financial risk and assist with implementing controls to minimise impact to the businessEnsuring the on-time delivery of day to day tasks across the verticalIdentifying, reporting andactioning control deficiencies where necessaryTeamworkShould demonstratestrong teamwork, self-direction, self-motivation skillsBuild positive working relationships across the organisation
