Schlumberger Guyana Inc. Logistics Specialist Job Summary Responsible to provide import/export process efficiency and work jointly with logistics distribution services groups to ensure movements of goods are compliance and aiming improvements on time delivery of goods to local business segments Responsible for the execution of domestic logistics operations at competitive costs while meeting the required delivery date, service level, and safety requirements of field operations. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Analyze import and export documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure accuracy of documentation and verify compliance standard., Responsible to have Import and export systems updated as needed or locally defined in the country including data and document storage where necessary. Responsible to analyze customs duty exemptions and free trade agreements where necessary to reduce cost of imports and exports. Responsible and accountable for performance factors related to Service Level Agreement in the country. Manage day to day customs brokers operations and ensure performance are monitored targeting a lead and cost reductions. Deal with customs and local authorities for day to day operational issues. Responsible and accountable to ensure all import and export duty tariff codes are correctly applied in to all incoming and outgoing shipments. Comply with customs requirements and manage customs duty costs to a minimal exposure; regularly conduct regulatory self-audits / compliance to the latest customs regulations; keep customs documents in proper filing, maintenance, and retention Manage day to day customs and Trade compliance issues and reports as per compliance standard. Act as a customs knowledge holder for local organization in the country. Attend local import and export training programs with local authorities focusing to improve knowledge (approval from Manager required is there is a cost associated) Monitor trip execution and communicate loading / unloading or in-transit deviations. Serve as focal point of contact as defined by Domestic Standard Operations Procedures for both Requestors and Drivers as required. Resolve minor to medium incidents with Requestors, escalate major incidents to Domestic Lead, and report incidents. Provide E-Journey and Stops Plan support (if applicable). Ensure compliance with Land Transport Contractor Guidelines, HSE policies, local regulations, and dangerous goods requirements in the Location. Place request for transportation-related forklift and crane usage via Shared Base Support. Other duties as assigned Experience and Skills: Professional Preferably minimum 2 years' experience in Logistics function. Basic knowledge of local landscape Good leadership skills Basic technical business knowledge to be capable of managing local logistics supplier interactions and quotes Negotiation and contracting skills Able to analyze and solve problems. Behavioral Passion for customer service Effective at cross-functional teamwork Ability to interact and manage several internal customers Ability to juggle and prioritize numerous requests simultaneously Discretion when dealing with confidential information. Education: Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration (or comparable degree) or requisite work experience.
