Commercial and Technical Accounting Manager required by a company based in High Wycombe.

Main Responsibilities of the role include:

  • To create and manage the long term financial plan/vision (10 Year view) focusing on material step changes/implications, so as to inform the Medium Term Financial Plan.
  • To perform full financial appraisals, provide financial advice and identify funding sources for the capital schemes.
  • To review quarterly the Investment Portfolio income performance, so as to provide assurance or and advice on whether net income streams are delivering as planned.
  • To be responsible for drafting the funding statement for the capital programme.
  • To manage and supervise the work of the more junior staff within the Team.
  • To provide support to the Treasury Management Function including Cash flow forecast and investment of cash balances to ensure the best return within acceptable level of risks.
  • To assist in preparation of Statement of Accounts by taking lead for capital accounting and associated notes. Assist in preparation of Income and Expenditure account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Accounting policies within agreed parameters and corporate timescales and support the audit process.
  • To be responsible for processing fixed asset valuations (including depreciation, revaluations and impairments to fixed assets) and ensuring wherever possible that assets requiring valuation are identified in a timely basis, instructions issued to values and valuations are returned in accordance with the closedown timetable
  • To undertake Post Project Evaluations on the first anniversary of the completion of a Capital Scheme in conjunction with Project Sponsor, to share lessons learned.
  • To test/resolve finance system implications for new Code of Practice requirements for Statement of Accounts for asset and asset register changes.
  • To manage the production of tax returns (e.g. VAT, CIS etc.) to ensure they are completed on a timely and accurate basis.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of the post.
